It's my turn! It's a much different experience when you're getting ready for your own wedding. I'd like to say I had the day off from doing hair, but that was not the case. I did my cousin/bridesmaid, my niece/flower girl, my mother and most of my own. The rest was done by my friend and coworker Jessica. I may be bias, but I'd have to say that I had a gorgeous wedding party.
This wedding is very special to me for many reasons, the most important reason being that the bride is my sister. I love my sister so much, she is one of my best friends, and of course I wanted her big day to be everything she'd dreamed of. I was honored to be her maid of honor and I didn't take the responsibility lightly. Bre and I spent countless hours working on every detail. It was a total DIY wedding. We did everything ourselves from the invitations to the pomander balls and floral arch in the ceremony to the centerpieces. I even hand painted wooden signs to match her invitations. The biggest challenge came in the hair department. Of course I was going to do every one's hair, the problem was that there were 8 bridesmaids. So the tally of girls needing their hair done was 10, including myself my sister and my mom. I enlisted the help of two assistants, strictly to curl hair, and made a very detailed schedule for each girl. Everything came together beautifully but I have to admit there was a bit of stress on my part. It was all worth it.

Kathryn is one of sweetest people I know. She's easygoing and fun, one of those
people that makes you want to be around her more. I couldn't have been happier
for her on her big day.
